A Holiday Tradition at the State Theatre
The State Theatre is proud to present the annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet!. Featuring more than 100 local performers of all ages, this timeless production brings the classic story to life through beautiful choreography to the iconic music of Tchaikovsky.
For many in our community, attending The Nutcracker has become a yearly tradition, welcoming over 4,000 patrons for this event alone. It’s an opportunity to gather with family and friends and celebrate the magic of the holiday season together at the historic State Theatre.
Community Talent on Stage
This beloved production combines the dedication of local performers with the magic of professional theatrical production. From stunning costumes and scenic elements to professional lighting, stage effects, and a detailed artistic vision, audiences are transported directly into Clara’s enchanting dream.

Educational Performance Opportunities
Beyond the public performances, The Nutcracker Ballet also serves as an important educational opportunity for local students. Each year, nearly 2,000 students attend educational performances through school partnerships, introducing young audiences to the performing arts in a meaningful and accessible way.
Combined with the thousands of patrons who attend annually, The Nutcracker Ballet is not only one of our most anticipated events, but also one of the most impactful arts experiences in our community.
