The State Theatre Center for the Arts is proud to partner with Main Street Theatre Company (MSTC), our resident theatre company dedicated to expanding arts education and community performance opportunities throughout Fayette County and the greater Southwestern Pennsylvania region.
Together, the State Theatre and MSTC share a commitment to making the performing arts accessible, engaging, and meaningful for people of all ages and experience levels. Through this partnership, MSTC brings full-scale community musical productions, student theatre opportunities, educational programming, and hands-on training to the historic State Theatre stage.
MSTC serves as an important part of the State Theatre’s mission to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and strengthen our community through the arts. From performers stepping onto the stage for the very first time to experienced actors, musicians, and technicians, MSTC creates opportunities for individuals to grow both artistically and personally in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Community Theatre Opportunities
Each season, Main Street Theatre Company presents a lineup of full-scale musical productions featuring talented local performers, creative teams, and volunteers from throughout the region. These productions provide community members the opportunity to participate in high-quality theatrical experiences both on stage and behind the scenes while bringing live entertainment to local audiences.

Education & Youth Opportunities
Education remains at the center of the partnership between MSTC and the State Theatre. Through student productions, workshops, masterclasses, camps, and educational theatre classes, students are given opportunities to explore the performing arts in an encouraging and creative atmosphere.
These programs help students develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and artistic expression while building a lifelong appreciation for theatre and live performance. Whether a student is interested in acting, singing, dancing, or simply trying something new, MSTC provides opportunities to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.
