An Historic Movie Palace

Since opening its doors in 1922, the State Theatre has been a place where audiences gathered to experience the magic of film on the big screen. Originally opening as a grand movie palace showcasing silent films, vaudeville performances, and some of the era’s most celebrated entertainers, the theatre quickly became a cultural centerpiece for Fayette County and the surrounding region.
